iPhone/iPod OS 3.0 upgrade
As I have mentioned on my previous post that I end up using Apple iPod Touch instead. I did spend the $9.95 to upgrade the OS to version 3.0 because I do want all the new functionalities that comes with it (copy and paste, and landscape mode on most of the applications).
After upgrading the OS, I found several things on my iPod Touch that I did not expect I will have (probably I just not paying attention enough to other blogger’s post).
1. iPod Touch does include a real GPS!
People may say no it shouldn’t be. It might be using triangulation, etc etc. I am 100% sure that it is a real GPS. It can pin point the location very accurately. What I haven’t tried is to see if that blue pin keep following me as I move. As I can connected to the Internet via my E71, I will check later this weekend if the Google Maps is fully functional as the one on iPhone.
2. There is bluetooth menu on the setting.
I can turn the bluetooth on and ask it to discover devices. Not sure if this is just a “non-working” menu items but it seems real (the bluetooth icon appear on the top bar and the searching does not return any error that you will expect if the bluetooth chip is not there).
Anyway. I am pretty happy with what I see so far. I am hoping the 2 that I found above is a real deal
